MUSIC CLIPS

COWBOY RECORDS (A division of Production Partners, Inc)

COWBOY RECORDS was created early January 2016, by Emmy Award Winning television and film company, Production Partners, Inc. in Burbank, CA Partners Sandy Chanley and Keith Truesdell formed their new music division after recording their first original single for Florida singer / songwriter HOYT HUGHES “the cowboy.” After becoming aware of his music via friends in Florida, they approached KEVIN SAVIGAR (Award Winning-multi platinum record producer) who has worked with super star talents such as Rod Stewart for many years, and formed a collaboration to produce and record Hoyt Hughes’ first original song recording for the crowd favorite: LET IT RAIN. In early 2016, Hoyt Hughes was brought out to Los Angeles, CA, for his first recording session with Savigar. This song so exceeded their expectations they realized they would need to form a record label just to handle this one song! Their television company was already set and ready to go on filming the music video for LET IT RAIN. By early March 2016 the music video was filmed on and around the premises of the Los Angeles Equestrian Center. The highly regarded Bennett Farms on the premises provided two of their most exquisite horses to be in the video. Over 3 days of filming with a skeleton crew… and this music  video has some “never seen before” moments in music video history.

Simultaneously, they signed Hoyt as their first official songwriting/recording artist, and formed an alliance with Kevin Savigar to produce his first album of carefully chosen and crafted, original and pitched music. The goal of this meticulous team was to create a sound for Hoyt’s music that would be unique and support an outrageous amount of creative freedom. Once the album process was underway it was clear that Savigar and Hughes were forming a music sound that would be coined by Cowboy Records as WESTERN COUNTRY… An entirely new spin on the genre itself. The style and arrangement of this music varies between Country, Rock, Pop, Blues and anywhere in-between. To date, this team has recorded 16 songs for the album entitled “Hoyt Hughes: COWBOY”… Many of which are Hoyt Hughes original songs. The singles and entire album are now available on most digital music sites… The album was released on Sept. 9th , 2016.

ROB MATH BIO

(Singer/Songwriter/Recording Artist/Guitarist)

ROB MATH is a multi-talented powerhouse of music artistry. Growing up as a native of Long Island, NY, he began playing guitar at the tender age of seven. By the age of eighteen, he was enrolled in the prestigious Berklee College of Music, and graduating with honors to set forth on his music adventures.

As an amazingly successful guitarist, he was most recently inducted into the Rock Godz Hall of Fame 2018. As a session guitarist in Los Angeles, he has contributed to many artists we all know… Seal, Toni Braxton, Nelly, and many more too numerous to mention.

Rob is also known as the lead guitarist for the extraordinary touring group “Player”, whose number one hit “Baby Come Back” is one of the most listened to songs in history. They are now called “Peter Beckett’s Player” and sell out to crowds worldwide every year. Another amazing group he tours with currently is the critically acclaimed heavy metal band “Leatherwolf,” which only serves to show how diverse the scope of his styles naturally evolve between every genre.

In 2016, Rob had the great fortune to have a chance meeting with Oscar Nominated Writer/Director/Producer, Frank Darabont (Shawshank Redemption, Green Mile, Creator of The Walking Dead). While at Guitar Center Hollywood, Darabont was about to play a part in Rob’s current singer/songwriter solo artist destiny. Hearing Rob testing out a D’Angelico electric guitar in the store, Darabont was utterly blown away by his playing talent and versatility. Darabont immediately contacted some longtime associates of his at a successful television company, Production Partners, Inc. He knew they had recently formed a new music division for a country artist out of Florida, and an indie record label to develop new music artists in all genres. It was this chance meeting that provided the current connection to the new label that would launch Rob Math’s solo artist debut song.

Production Partners, Inc. had formed Cowboy Records (Burbank), and upon Darabont’s suggestion, brought Math in to jam with their first signed artist, Hoyt Hughes. They immediately knew they had two stars on their hands. Rob became a favorite collaborator for the team, and recorded with the new label on several single song releases for Hughes.

It became apparent that Rob had the creative artistry to write and record original songs of his own. His first co-write with Cowboy Records CEO, Sandy Chanley, is their first venture with Rob as a solo artist. The song is an authentic creation by the duo, as it was a premise they both related to. The pop rock song is titled “Burn Out”, and perfectly expresses how the big city can exhaust your mind.

The recording is produced by Sandy Chanley and Keith Truesdell of Production Partners, Inc. “Burn Out” was recorded, mixed, and mastered at legendary Studio City Sound by Grammy Winning mixer, Tom Weir.

New Solo Artist, Rob Math, Debut Single Song Release, “Burn Out” on Cowboy Records (Burbank), A Division of Award Winning Production Partners, Inc.

Math was brought to the attention of newly formed Cowboy Records (Burbank) by the Oscar Nominated writer/director, Frank Darabont (Shawshank Redemption/Green Mile/Creator of The Walking Dead) after a chance meeting at Guitar Center Hollywood, where Darabont first heard the outstanding guitarist testing a new D’Angelico guitar.

Cowboy Records was established 2016 as a music division for Production Partners, Inc., whose first signed artist is Award Winning 2018 PCCAA “New Star of the Year”, country music, singer/songwriter, Hoyt Hughes.

Upon Darabont contacting Sandy Chanley and Keith Truesdell (CEO and VP of PPI), the duo immediately drafted Rob Math to play guitar on several of their single song recordings with Hughes. Their creative relationship blossomed into a solo artist, co-writing venture between Rob Math and Sandy Chanley. The new single song “Burn Out” is a Math/Chanley co-write, and produced by Chanley and Keith Truesdell. “Burn Out” is a soulful pop rock tune, which perfectly expresses the mind exhausting adventure of taking on the big city, hoping for success.

Frank Darabont says – “Rob Math is the greatest guitar talent I have ever personally known. His depth, chops, and versatility are awe-inspiring. And it turns out he’s a hell of a vocalist. He is a man of tremendous grace and humility which only increases my admiration for him.” And “If I ever met the devil at the crossroads, and he offered me Rob Math’s talent, I’d be sorely tempted.”

HOYT HUGHES BIO

Singer/Songwriter/Recording Artist

Hollywood and Nashville recording artist, HOYTHUGHES, was destined to live in the world of musicfrom the day he was born. Growing up in the beautiful countryside of Lakeland, Florida, the cowboy’s entire family was already a neighborhood favorite for porch music and songwriting. His brother, Travis Hughes, taught him how to play the guitar. His favorite contribution to their music was playing the spoons while others sang. His singing he kept to himself, even from his own family, until he was grown. While dating his lovely wife, Wendy-Lynn, she dropped by his home un-announced and heard him in the back yard playing guitar and singing. She knew immediately there was a special quality to his voice that should be heard by the masses. She encouraged him to go out and sing with his brother’s band locally in Lakeland. With shaky hands and hat down low, he fired off a standing ovation version of an old country song, Keith Whitley’s “Don’t Close Your Eyes.” That moment has changed his life forever. Hoyt Hughes belonged on a stage (and in a recording studio)! Hoyt began a journey onto the stages of various contests locally in Florida… and then on to the finals in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. When he won the national competition, everyone knew for sure he was a star. By now his family was on the bandwagon, and his stepfather, Bobby, threw him in his pickup truck and headed for Nashville. They slept in every parking lot in Nashville, and Bobby pushed him onto every stage in Nashville. By the close of that first trip, Hoyt was invited to perform at the Midnight Jamboree at the Grand Ol’ Opry. Taking on a job at the local Lakeland power plant to provide for his family and save up dollars to record songs in Nashville, Hoyt was introduced to the recording world of country music. Budding producers and songwriters were jumping on board to engage Hoyt in recording their songs. Often times these recordings were made in the garage of a local Nashville producer. Many of these previous recordings hold up as amazing songs and vocals. “Stomp On” managed to move up on the Country Music Row chart for weeks without any publicity whatsoever. Other amazing recordings from those days include: All Good In The Woods, , What Turns You On, Happy Ending, etc. Hughes formed the Hoyt Hughes Band (from the best and brightest central Florida musicians) locally in Lakeland, to begin putting these and other country/ rock songs on the stage. His fan base in his hometown grew at rapid speed, and the Hoyt Hughes Band performed at every given opportunity. Weddings, backyard bbq’s, Festivals, bars and clubs. As his popularity increased he was confident to write and perform more original songs. The one quote heard over and over became “why aren’t you famous yet?” As fate would have it… his dreams were about to come true. His Florida supporters would have a connection to Hollywood that none of them could’ve imagined. A friend of a friend, managed to have an award winning Los Angeles television producer (with multiple connections to Florida) listen to one of Hoyt’s songs. Immediately sensing the potential, Production Partners, Inc. (Burbank, CA) set out to find the perfect record producer to record an original song written by Hughes and… miraculously… landed music legend, KEVIN SAVIGAR. Savigar is best known for his long time collaborations with Rod Stewart… and in addition his multi-platinum and award winning status over the years with megaartists including, John Mellencamp, Bob Dylan, etc. With these two Hollywood powerhouses backing Hoyt’s talent… the rest of the Hoyt Hughes story to date, falls neatly into place. In early 2016, Production Partners, Inc. created a record label division of their television company (Cowboy Records) specifically to handle the recording of Hoyt’s original song LET IT RAIN, in association with Savigar. Kevin Savigar says of Hoyt’s voice “”I loved the sound of Hoyt’s voice when I first heard his demo. He sings from that special place in the heart that completely pulls you into the song.” Multi-Emmy and CableAce Award Nominee and Emmy and multi-CableAce Winner Sandy Chanley of Production Partners says of the song recording: “Kevin Savigar created a sound for this song that is completely unique, even while using traditional country instrumentation. The gentle strokes and waves throughout the song make it completely different from anything ever heard before.” And about the artist himself “Hoyt Hughes vocal has a haunting quality that takes the listener to another place and time.” Production Partners/Cowboy Records, and Kevin Savigar Music, have signed Hoyt Hughes on to create his first album, combining a mix of original songs and some hand picked covers for Hoyt Hughes and the Hoyt Hughes Band message. Hughes has always dreamed of changing people with his music. The band’s signature sound is currently evolving, guided by the brilliant crafting of Kevin Savigar… Sandy Chanley describes it’s powerful uniqueness as “Western Country.” A new spin on the genre itself. Hoyt Hughes is currently in Los Angeles recording, and living in both, Lakeland, Florida and California. His wife, Wendy-Lynn and family and friends are excited and in total support of his new music ventures. In Hoyt’s own words “If there were ever a dream in your heart… or a star you wanted to reach for… never give up because believing is your first step, and climbing… is time.” Look out Nashville… Hoyt Hughes is headed back your way!!!
